Project overview
The City of Adelaide is delivering two new raised, signalised crossings on Glen Osmond Road and Sir Donald Bradman Drive, where these roads connect with the Park Lands Trail.
The new crossings will make it safer and easier for people walking and cycling along the Park Lands Trail to cross these busy roads.
The projects are being delivered with funding from the Australian Government's road safety program.
What we're doing
New raised, signalised pedestrian and cyclist crossings will be constructed at:
- Glen Osmond Road, adjacent to the Park Lands Trail
- Sir Donald Bradman Drive, adjacent to the Park Lands Trail
The crossings will include traffic signals that can be activated by people walking and cycling, along with a raised crossing designed to improve safety and accessibility.
Why are we doing this work
The Park Lands Trail provides an important walking and cycling connection around the Adelaide Park Lands.
These upgrades will provide dedicated crossing points where the trail meets Glen Osmond Road and Sir Donald Bradman Drive, helping people walking and cycling continue their journey more safely and easily.
When will construction take place?
Construction is scheduled from July to September 2026.
Temporary traffic management will be in place while works are underway. There may also be temporary changes to pedestrian and cycling routes around the construction areas.
Advance notice will be provided where detours or significant changes are required.
Sir Donald Bradman Drive crossing
A new raised, signalised pedestrian and cyclist crossing will be constructed on Sir Donald Bradman Drive at the Park Lands Trail.
The upgrade will provide a dedicated crossing point for people travelling along the trail.
Glen Osmond Road crossing
A new raised, signalised pedestrian and cyclist crossing will be constructed on Glen Osmond Road at the Park Lands Trail.
The upgrade will provide a dedicated crossing point for people travelling along the trail.
