What is National Reconciliation Week?
National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is held annually from 27 May to 3 June and commemorates the 1967 referendum and the 1992 High Court Mabo decision recognising Native Title. It is a time for all Australians to reflect on our shared history and strengthen respectful relationships.
National Reconciliation Week 2026: All In

The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 was All In, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.
All In emphasised that reconciliation is not a spectator sport; and we all must step away from the sidelines and take action to make change.
Reconciliation and advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights isn’t a passive activity; nor is it solely the responsibility of First Nations people, who have carried the weight of championing, explaining and acting for far too long.
Reconciliation will not happen on its own – and it will not happen without all of us.
