City Greening Awards

Have you created a beautiful garden in your street? Go for gold with your green thumbs! Enter your nature strip, planters or green wall to win your share of $10,000 across 10 award categories.

The City Greening Awards recognise local gardeners and encourage everyone in the community to take an interest in the nature strips and gardens on their street. The gardens can be in-ground, planter pots or green walls and must be on public property, such as on a nature strip (verge garden).

City residents, community groups and businesses involved in the maintenance or creation of a garden are encouraged to enter. Alternatively, you can nominate a worthy gardener!

Only gardens within the City of Adelaide are eligible for entry. Gardens on private property are not eligible to enter. Entries must be submitted by 18 November 2018 via online entry form or by returning a printed entry form to the City of Adelaide customer centre at 25 Pirie Street.

If you want to create a verge garden from scratch, find out how to get involved here.
