Hazardous Waste

Household chemicals can be dangerous if they are not stored or disposed of safely. 

Be aware Hazardous Wastes can not be disposed of in the general waste bin as they are harmful to human health and the environment.

Hazardous household waste includes:

  • Chemicals
  • Insecticides
  • Varnishes
  • Solvents

To dispose of these wastes safely take your hazardous household waste to:

Green Industries SA Household Hazardous Waste Depot

Hazardous household waste and farm chemicals can be taken to the waste depot operated by Green Industries SA located at the corner of Magazine Road and Henschke Street, Dry Creek.

This service is provided free of charge by Green Industries SA for all households and farmers.

The waste depot is open on the first Tuesday of every month (excluding public holidays) between 9.00am and 12noon.
