Role of the council and state
As outlined in the Local Government Emergency Management Framework, the state government has primary responsibility for emergency management in the interests of community safety and wellbeing. The City of Adelaide has a responsibility to contribute to the safety and wellbeing of their communities by participating in local emergency management.
