Wedding Ceremonies

Our city offers beautiful parks and open spaces perfect for wedding venues, ceremonies and photographs. Some sought after wedding ceremony sites include Veale Gardens, Brougham Gardens, Bonython Park River Bank, and other sites on the River Torrens, in particular Angas Gardens and Grundy Gardens.

The map below highlights some of the gardens around the Adelaide Park Lands used for wedding ceremonies and photographs.

Adelaide-Qingdao Rose Garden Available for Weddings from 1 February 2019

The beautiful Adelaide-Qingdao Rose Garden will be available for wedding ceremonies from 1 February 2019. And to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Adelaide’s Sister City relationship with Qingdao, the City of Adelaide is waiving the site hire fee for all weddings successfully booked to take place in the garden between 1 February and 31 December 2019.

Located in Veale Gardens in the Southern Park Lands, the gorgeous rose garden was unveiled in early 2018. In addition to its natural beauty, the Adelaide-Qingdao Rose Garden offers deep symbolism and is home to the striking ‘Song of the Wind’ statue and the exquisite City of Qingdao Rose, bred and donated by renowned South Australian rose hybridist, George Thompson.

If you’ve been searching a beautiful outdoor spot to tie the knot, this could be the perfect place.

To take advantage of the site hire fee waiver for Adelaide-Qingdao Rose Garden, fill in the application form.
