Rundle Mall vehicle access
Rundle Mall Vehicle Access Permits are issued for vehicles to load and unload goods to businesses in Rundle Mall, during the designated access times, for a maximum of 30 minutes.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a Rundle Mall vehicle access permit you must be loading and unloading goods to businesses in Rundle Mall that have no other access point.
One-off or short-term access may be permitted to accommodate approved Rundle Mall events and provide tradesmen with access to businesses for approved works.
Rundle Mall access times
In the interests of public safety, vehicle access is not permitted in Rundle Mall between the following hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Friday: 9:00 am to 9:15 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Sunday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Approved permit holders are only permitted to access Rundle Mall outside of these times.

Once issued, all permits are subject to certain rules and conditions.

Annual permit renewals
Annual permits for Rundle Mall vehicle access permits covers the 12-month period from 1 September to 31 August.
To ensure continued access to Rundle Mall, please renew your annual permit online by the 25th of August.

Ready to renew or apply for a permit?
Before you start, please have the following handy as you will need to submit:
- the details for each vehicle including registration number, make, model, weight (number of axles, class)
- if renewing or changing a vehicle on an existing permit – the Permit number (this should be in the following format: R/Number/YEAR///XXXX)
- bollard access number/s
- a copy of the applicant’s drivers’ licence.
