Outdoor Activation Grant brightens UR Caffe's exterior

Walking along Melbourne Street, it’s hard to miss UR Caffe with its black and white striped exterior and red front door. Behind the exterior is a café serving up delicious breakfasts, lunches and of course coffees.

“We’ve been in business for almost 10 years and love what we do. The relationships we’ve built with our lovely loyal customers is what we love the most about our job,” said Kate, owner UR Caffe.

When the City of Adelaide Outdoor Activation Grants were announced, UR Caffe owner Kate jumped at the opportunity to give her business a facelift.

“The grant allowed us to give the exterior of our building a fresh coat of paint and we were able to install a new sign that has helped attract customers and increase awareness of our business.”

In 2020, to support businesses hit hard by COVID-19, the Outdoor Activation Grant was launched allowing businesses to enhance and activate their outdoor areas; supporting jobs and driving patronage.

"Our customers just love the exterior painting and the new sign has been fantastic in helping people find out about our business when we are closed during the evenings.”

The Outdoor Activation Grant was funded by the State Government of South Australia and administered by the City of Adelaide.
