Develop your leadership skills and build community resilience.

Apply to become a Community Resilience Leader and learn to support your neighbours to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies. Leaders will receive tailored training and mentoring from organisations including the Red Cross and receive ongoing support from the City of Adelaide. Applications are open to residents of the city and North Adelaide.

What’s involved?

Leaders will champion the importance of taking individual action to prepare for emergencies.

Specialised training will be provided to leaders in how to prepare their community for an emergency, lead their community in recovery following an emergency, and adapt to the changing climate. The training will also help participants to enhance their communication skills and gain specialised skills in areas such as psychological first aid. 

Once trained, leaders will share information and resources with their community on the importance of taking individual action to prepare for emergencies.
