Bai Long Store

Bai Long Store takes customers on an Asian fusion journey across the orient. The restaurant merges the influence of Chinese, Japanese and Korean cuisines to produce morsels that both delight taste buds and challenge imaginations. Crispy cauliflower is paired with an edamame coconut hummus, while king prawns are caressed by brown butter kohlrabi. Dry aged pork is dressed in Sichuan apple stock and king oyster mushrooms matched with parmesan cheese.

It comes as no surprise that Bai Long Store comes from the same culinary brain trust that brought Adelaide Gin Long Canteen and Concubine. The chic backdrop comes courtesy of designer house, Studio-Gram, who are renowned for the digs of Osteria Oggi and Shobosho.

A Hereford Beefstouw is another Hutt Street hot spot that is anchored in international inspiration. The history of Hereford Beefstouw restaurants stretch back to 1971 where the Damgaard family opened the first restaurant in the heart of Denmark.

Hutt Street’s A Hereford Beefstouw restaurant opened its doors in 2011. The stunning restored heritage building has since forged ahead with a meaty mission to bring diners a premium steak experience. Meat is supplied from a farm in South Australia’s lower south east which was purchased by the Damgaard family in 2006 and now supplies all of their European restaurants with the finest Hereford beef

Prezzo Restaurant

Regulars will passionately argue that the eatery is home to the city’s best pizza. Cooked in a wood oven, the final product has a thin base surrounded by a heavenly crispy crust. The fritto misto which is spilling with an abundance of juicy seafood deserves a delicious mention. For those with a taste for meat, choose from melt-in-your-mouth lamb shanks that are cooked for 6-8 hours of an angus beef steak.
