Why apply

Research shows that young Australians are often structurally marginalised from policy making and systemically disempowered from having their voices heard. The program aims to enable you to have your voice, and the voice of other young people, heard at all levels of government.

  • Emerging Civic Leaders is designed to supercharge your knowledge, skills and leadership experience.
  • You'll learn from social change leaders, entrepreneurs and communication experts.
  • Working alongside a small group of other young leaders from Adelaide you’ll put lessons learned via the course into action to design and deliver a Pledge to Vote campaign in Adelaide.
  • Brought to you by the City of Adelaide and Y Vote, each successful applicant will get their own login to the digital course plus bonus resources, which cover topics from problem solving and creative thinking to communications and high impact leadership.
