Eleanor Freeman
Central Ward Councillor
I’m an experienced urban planner recognised for delivering high complexity projects within the South Australian Government over the past decade.
I want to help plan Adelaide’s future growth as our state’s key destination, education and employment hub. More residents, workers and visitors are essential to creating a vibrant city where local businesses and communities thrive. Growth must be sustainable and sensible, with the right development in the right places and affordable housing choices available across all life stages. It must also be supported by investment in quality public realm, community facilities, safe streets, green infrastructure, and sustainable transport options.
As a lifelong Adelaide local and proud South Ward resident, I’m passionate about enhancing the qualities that consistently rank our city among the world’s most liveable. Our walkable grid street network, world-recognised Park Lands and unique heritage footprint are defining assets that make Adelaide distinct and should be protected for future generations. We should continue to celebrate and showcase everything Adelaide has to offer as the capital city of Australia’s Festival State.
As someone who lives, works and plays in the city, you’ll often find me riding around on my bicycle or enjoying one of Adelaide's local venues - unless of course it's my identical twin sister instead!
