Anne Moran

Area Councillor

Councillor Anne Moran

I live in North Adelaide with my husband Dr Patrick Moran and our children and have served as a City Councillor since 1995 and I have again been re-elected for the term 2018 - 2022 as Area Councillor.

In the past, I have served as Deputy Lord Mayor, Chaired the Central Market Authority and the Development Assessment Panel and been a member of the Adelaide Aquatic Centre Authority and the State Heritage Authority.

I graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma of Education and taught senior English and Modern History. Since 1995, I have devoted myself full-time to council duties.

I am a dedicated Councillor, committed to honest and open local government. A long-term resident and business owner in the city, I listen, understand and speak up for residents and the small business community to ensure Adelaide is a sustainable and enjoyable place to live, visit and grow businesses.

I support providing 'first class' local services; keeping rates low; keeping the Central Market a vibrant fresh produce market; protecting and improving our unique Park Lands and built heritage; bringing back owner/occupier grants; delivering efficient administration and investing to revitalise the city. I am determined that the Park Lands and residential streets do not become car parks.
