City Business Saver Grant

Applications for the City Business Saver Grant have closed.

As part of Reignite Adelaide, the City of Adelaide is offering the City Business Saver Grant to support micro and small businesses in the city that have been impacted by COVID-19 restrictions.

Eligible businesses can apply for a cash reimbursement equivalent to 50% of the third quarter 2021-22 financial year rate. Applications are open to any small business that operates in the City of Adelaide and meets the eligibility requirements.

The program is open until Saturday 30 April 2022.

    Eligibility

    The City Business Saver Grant is available to micro and small businesses within the City of Adelaide that:

    • employ between 1 - 20 employees
    • occupy non-residential properties
    • occupy a space that would be the equivalent to $0 to $15,000 in council rates (businesses do not need to be directly responsible for payment of rates in order to be eligible)
    • can provide provide proof of a 30% loss of revenue from 27 December 2021 to 9 January 2022, from 10 January 2022 to 30 January 2022 or from 1 February 2022 to 28 February 2022.

    Businesses that have received either the COVID-19 Business Hardship Grant SA or COVID-19 Tourism, Hospitality and Gym Grant SA will be instantly approved on providing proof of their assessment outcome.

    Grant usage

    Grants are provided to support businesses that have been impacted by restrictions enacted by State or Commonwealth government due to COVID-19. This may include:

      • meeting business costs, including utilities, salaries, and/or rent;
      • obtaining financial, legal or other advice to support business continuity planning;
      • developing the business through marketing and communications activities; and / or
      • other supporting activities related to the operation of the business.

      We still encourage you to apply as the City Business Saver Grant eligibility criteria is different to the South Australian Government grants.
