The mission of the Upcycle Adelaide Closet is to provide free new or gently used business casual and business professional attire, for the University of Adelaide community. We support those who are embarking on job interviews, internships and new employment. The closet strives to help community members look their best throughout their job search and positively impact their success in the professional world.

Orchard Bookshop sells new, used and collectable books. Donations of books and used paper and cloth bags are accepted during opening hours. Furniture and fittings in the shop are all second-hand and upcycled and any damaged books and dust wrappers are repurposed in crafting bundles.

All food waste and other recyclables are responsibly managed.

Creative revival of existing furniture for domestic or commercial customers. Traditional techniques are used and workshops are run to teach and share skills. In restoration, components are replaced only when necessary and natural fibres are used where possible. Excess fabric is sold for others to use.

Seafood food shop. Food waste is all reduced, e.g. salmon frames to patties and burgers, remaining waste recycled.

Organic, local and sustainably grown produce. Old bananas are given to other stall holders for reuse (e.g. smoothies). Wax boxes in which produce arrives are reused and returned to growers.

Seller of pre-loved clothing on behalf of locals. We provide a way for you to shop and sell pre-loved clothing locally, minimising your environmental impact.

Seller of second hand books. We deal in quality out-of-print and antiquarian books, as well as vintage photographs, manuscripts and autographs.

Jewellery repair work is done on site including, ring re-sizing, re-tipping, chain and bracelet repairs, re-modelling, re-setting of loose gemstones and pearl re-threading. No job is too small or detailed, quotes can be provided on the spot and turnaround times are minimal.
