Library History Festival Events

As a major sponsor of South Australia's History Festival, The City of Adelaide is running an expansive program of events ranging from tours, talks, walks and exhibitions which bring the rich stories and history of South Australia to life. The City of Adelaide Libraries events are below. 


Queen Adelaide Print Exhibition

This exhibition displays works developed through the Amanda Hassett Artist in Residence Queen Adelaide Historical project. The tradition of printmaking in fine art is centuries old. Most images we have today from Queen Adelaide’s era are hand engraved prints. This is a community created exhibition.

When: May - Mon, Tue & Thu 10am–6pm; Wed 10am–7pm; Fri 10am–8pm; Sat 10am–5pm, Sun 12–5pm

City Library & Adelaide City Archives Exhibition

This exhibition by Adelaide City Archives, showcases archival and Civic Collection treasures about the history of our city.

When: May - During May: Mon, Tue & Thu 10am-6pm; Wed 10am-7pm; Fri 10am-8pm; Sat 10am-5pm; Sun 12-5pm
