City Bikes Larger 2With wide streets and beautiful Park Lands, Adelaide's a great place to cycle!

Whether you cycle as a mode of transport, a relaxing recreation or an exhilarating sport, the City is a great place to ride a bike.

Adelaide City Council is working to make the City even more cycling friendly by installing more bike lanes and bike parking facilities, as well as more free City Bikes for people to use in the City.

Bicycle Parking

With 200+ bike parking rails across the City, it's easy to park in the City. Bike rails are at convenient locations such as shopping precincts, libraries and community centres.

Bike parking nodes are located on:

• Rundle Street (in front of the Scout Outdoor Centre)
• Pirie Street (east of the Gawler Place intersection)

The City Council also offers free undercover bike parking in all U-Park car parks.

Free City Bikes

The easiest way to explore the City is by bike. You can hire a FREE City Bike with either a current passport or driver’s licence with photo.
